Me again :-)

Just thought I should throw in my brag.

finished his black belt test with flying colors yesterday.

I was extremely proud of him for instead of fidgeting with his belt (as he

normally does in class) he stood at attention with the other kids. Only an

occasional glance back to us to throw us his award winning smile :-)

To start with the kids all had to read the speeches. stood when

called saluted the flags, addressed the board (those who were grading him)

then addressing the Black belts who were there to watch.

He then introduced himself stated his age and introduced and told

everyone he would read his speech.

then took over and read the speech which made me cry yet once again

:-)

They then proceeded on with the rest of the 4 1/2 hour test. He followed

right along and got everything except for a few of the self defense take

downs and a couple of the harder combination kicks.

As he already knew that sparring was the last thing they would have to do

once finished he turned to the kid next to him and said " I did it! " Too

cute.

At the end of the test they are called individually by the Grand Master to

stand and hear his pointers for them

With he told him how proud he was of him and all the hard work he had

done but he needed to be more aggressive when sparring :-) (we knew that

lol) He then awarded with the popcorn tin as mentioned in his

email.

If you could have seen his face when they put that Black belt on him (with

his name embroidered on it)

He had a smile from ear to ear :-)

All the kids were so great everyone of them came up and shook his hand and

told him what a good job he had done.

He was beaming as well as his mom and dad. :-)

Well I best sign off as I (like my son) tend to ramble on :-)
