My daughter, also a , regrets that she is with her natural father 2 of

three weekends, so she misses most chats. To add icing to that cake, the one

weekend she IS home, she likes to have a friend stay the night, and most of them

don't have the patience to sit and watch her chat! We have tried letting the

friends play on the other computer at the time she is chatting, but have had

little success. She is planning on asking her father to pick her up on Saturday

next week, so she can join in.

She really loves being on the sib list, really likes logging on and having lots

of e-mail just waiting for her. Anyway, just wanted to give our view on the

whole thing...I will have her post an introduction when she gets home from her

weekend away.

Take care,

The sibs list has been a really good thing for (my 15 yr old). Since

ph is only 4, she has been able to look ahead to some of the things that

are likely to happen and think about them in advance. I think it has been a

very positive influence for her. Bengie

My (15 year old) is also on the sib list and I know she really

appreciates being able to communicate with other kids walking in her shoes.

She has good friends at school, but they don't all really understand where

she is coming from. She does have one friend in school who has a sister with

CP/wheelchair bound. These two girls would never have been friends in

different circumstances, but the commonality of having a sibling with a

disability have drawn them together. Hmmmmmm, much like many of us. LOL
