Guest guest
Got a note from Jan but am sending this part to everyone because I am now working two jobs to get out of the bind that Mervyn left me in. Soon to be over!!! The truck went up for sale today, the electrician is coming this weekend and I may have water running in the kitchen by Christmas. For those of you who don't know, we've been cooking out of a closet... camping in our own home... we've come up with some really creative recipes!!! Anywho... here is the general news... HI Jan, How wonderful of you to be thinking of me. Hannah has had three milestones in one week. She took her first step, drank from a straw and picked her nose. Yes, they all went in the baby book!! lol For me each had it's place in herstory. Firstly, the step. She's been standing up in the middle of the room for about 6 weeks but doesn't want to move. Went for a bottle... (food = motivation... see a connection there??) The straw, she mimicked me!! That was VERY thrilling and the look on her face when she got liquid was priceless. Needless to say, another skill she wants to practice.... The nose- she isolated a finger!!! The OT has been trying to do this for ages. We never guessed that the first place it would go would be her nose!!! LOL Working nights at the bank and weekend nights at Kmart... one funny...(Yes, Tim, even you will find humor in this irony...) Kmart... manager messing with my schedule... wanted me to work 7 am after getting home at 1 am from the bank.... was ready to quit. Brought up a letter to quit. Decided to use my employee discount one final time. Picked up my check to spend and the service desk said loudly... " CONNIE FOX... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! YOU ARE SUPER KMARTS SUPER VALUED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!! Needless to say, I'll be there thru Christmas... sigh. That's about all. Hannah's health has been outstanding since the surgery. Two small colds and the intestinal bug that everyone else has had. The other kids are adjusting to the added responsiblity of being home for short periods alone. The fire department woke me up on Saturday... discovered the panic buttons for FIRE. At least we know it works. Miss you guys... sorry I am such a lurker lately. Just really busy.
