It will be held in the Indian Treaty Room, an historic and beautiful room in the OEOB, where White House staff work. If you attend, plan to be there at 1:30 pm to go through security - you can enter at the 17th and G St. entrance. If you are interested in attending, please let me know immediately since space is limited. You MUST provide the security information (described below) by 5:00 pm on Friday to attend. I will email a confirmation to you. A Meretorius Service Award will be presented to Young, Disability Policy Advisor in the Office of Public Liaison in the White House. has done outstanding work in advancing disability issues within the administration, promoting positive policy, and speaking up for people with disabilities and their families. He has made a special effort to ensure that individuals with Down syndrome and their families are involved and represented in public policy discussions and at important events. spoke at the first NDSS National Buddy Walk. The White House requires the following information for security reasons for each person attending: Name (as it appears on your drivers license) Address & Phone Number Date of Birth Social Security Number Be sure and bring your drivers license with you. This information must be emailed to me by 5:00 pm this Thursday, Dec. 14. I need to provide it to the White House ahead of time. Since I'll be travelling, email would be the best way to contact me.
