Guest guest
Thanks for your replies but it seems I didn't make the situation too clear. There is a YMCA program. has been kicked out of that and they won't accept him back until he has an aide. The Dept.of Health personnel can determine that he needs one but it must be with the school personnel's agreement. That's why we need the meeting. The DOH people say that they think we should just extend his ESY time. I would rather see that. He loves school and would just as soon stay there. There are no programs here other than the Y that we can afford. Easter Seals program costs $200 a week. I only make $300 a week. The ARC programs are for much more involved kids than . They are adult sitting programs. Thanks for the support. I just needed to vent about Hawaii's year round school. I will NEVER live anywhere else that has year round school. It is too difficult. is on a different schedule--high school versus middle. They don't have year round. They don't have tracks where there are always a group of kids not in school. She kept him one week during the last break and took him to work the other two. He can't do that this time. Elaine
