Guest guest
Hi, all these problems in schools makes me realise how lucky I am with Tim. I've had hiccoughs but they have been put right, even the ones where my hormones meant I over reacted and nearly ruined good relationships. Happy to report they are back to normal and in some respects better. We had a teacher/parent consult last night. I have been getting really wound up over a lot of stuff lately, on overload for one reason and another and also precariously near to toppling into a seroius depression (a long standing problem that rears up now and then and is the reason I have been somewhat volatile with many people) so when I got a list of naughties that tim did one day last week I went home, blasted tim and then sobbed for hours, sobbed to a long time good friend who advised me (she being a teacher herself) to tell the teacher that i don't want to hear any more naughties becoz I can't cope right now but to wait until I had got rid of the PMT!! So PMT gone I told the teacher last night that I really really WANT to know EVERYTHING that tim does at school but that I really really don't NEED to know and please can they not tell me anyting unless its something that they would tell another parent (except the good stuff, i still need to hear that!!). She straight away, said that absolutely they should not be telling me this stuff and that they don't do it to others and that yes it might be making his behaviour worse and no I am not a dreadful parent and they know I want to know and am really pleased that I am admitting I don't need to know!! They have always told me before becoz I have always wanted to know and have often asked for this info, but now it is given more than I ask for it. She was really pleased I asked her, I was really pleased with her response and HALLELUJAH, he had a GOOD day at school today!! Well, school trip anyway! And finally, a brag. Tim took a Kumon level 7a (the bottom level) certificate to school yesterday to share in assembly. (he had to know numbers to 10, count 1:1 correspondence to 10, recognise certain dot patterns to 10 and match number 1-30 on a number board to get this cert, we are now doing the same up to 30,). Anyway, limelight over he went up to the teacher and said " hold my certificate Mrs. A****** " and she understood everyword! She was so pleased becoz she finds him very hard to understand.
