Looking for other teachers . . .

My husband and I are parents to three daughters, our eldest was born with Down

Syndrome. Corrin, turned 8 in June, is currently in a reg ed multi-age classroom

(1st-2nd-3rd grades). Corrin's teacher, Tammy Herr, is a fantastic educator and

wants to do her best at including Corrin in her community-minded classroom. We

(my husband, myself, her teacher and a team of therapists who provide one-on-one

to Corrin in the classroom everyday) want to find other teachers who are

attempting this situation or have been involved in a similar experience and want

to share their expertise. Where might we go?!

Please offer some guidance when it's convenient.

have you thought about taking your daughter to ballet classes? You will have

to chose your teacher very carefully, but ballet is a wonderful way to

enhance her education.
