Guest guest Posted September 14, 2000 Report Share Posted September 14, 2000 HI Well, you all know of the struggles with my Sara lol Today I got another note telling me of Sara's inappropriate behavior. ONE of the things she did today was call a little boy in her Resource Room a " Fat Boy " now this is a pet name Mike's brother started calling him. Now the whole family does it and Mike chuckles lol I knew one day this would catch up with us uggggggggg Well, Sara and I laid down tonight, I decided to give her a social story about this name calling. She insisted she was joking but I told her that this little boy went home and cried to his Mom about being called this name. Sara was deeply remorseful and said she would say sorry to him. Now I know I cannot change Sara's joking ways soooooo I insisted she give this boy a sweet name. We came up with " Nice Boy " She loved it and repeated it back to me. About 30 minutes later I asked Sara " Sara what are you going to tell the little boy in the morn " and she answered " Sorry little boy " and then she smiled as big as she can be and added " High five....... Nice Fat Boy " ugggggggggg OK I had to start all over again reminding her the word FAT was an ugly word and she agreed We will see tomorrow how the interaction goes, I'm praying she learned something from our little social story Kathy mom to Sara 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

May be if is just joking she will give it up when she sees how sad she makes the kids involved. has started calling His brother Zach a variety of names all ending in " head. " Things like " poopyhead, " brotherhead, doghead, farthead, you get my drift. UGGGGG. Sometimes I think it is joking around but other times I know he is mad and angry. I believe this was taught to him by his brother behind my back and Zach is reaping the rewards for his efforts. LOL I dread the first time he aims this stuff at one of those kids in school. LOL I was really surprised a few years ago when came out with f--- you. (and um, it was used appropriately as alot of people use it) and it was one of the only things she had ever said at that time, that was understandable. We cannot get cable here and I do not miss it. But he has been watching the nickelodeon with his brother at my moms house this summer.
