Is that the daughter of Sophia Loren? She had surgery, body casting,

laying in bed for months, the works, just like me and people were always

telling me about her, and sending me magazine clippings about her. (in the

60's I think).

That's when my doctor said Scoliosis ran in Italian families....but I'm

German/French!

Isabella Rossellini is the daughter of Ingred Bergman and a very famous

Italian movie director named o Rossellini. He was known for being

part of the " neo-realismo " movement -one of his most important films is

" Roma Citta Aperta " starring Magnani. If I'm not mistaken, he also

directed " Beautiful " (again starring Magnani). These are both films

than every " buff " MUST see. About Isabella - she went to the local public

" scuola media " where they did (still do) routine screening for scoliosis -

was operated on in Florence and had the whole kit and kaboodle, including a

year in a cast. She had bone taken from her leg for the graft. That's about

all I know - except that her daughter, Electra, also has a scoliosis, and

she is now living in the USA.
