Dearest Recent Revisees,

I hope everyones holidays have been joyous and comfortable.

Looking toward my february surgery I wanted to start figuring out

what to bring with me. I thought there was a list on here somewhere

but when I searched last night all I could find was Cheryl's post

saying she brought way too much stuff and that it was difficult

schlepping everything between the various moves she needed to

make....ICU, hospital...rehab..(times 2)..

For instance, should I bring any of my own attire? P.J.'s, bed

jackets? Slippers?

How 'bout undergarments? Do I bring a 14-20 day supply?

Personal grooming items I should bring or defintely leave at home?

Electronic stuff....cells phones, music, laptop?

For those of you that have had surgery at NEBH, do you know if there

is internet at the hospital...laptop or wireless connection...

(either for me or my husband).

Also for NEBH vets, did you have a private or semi-private room and

what do you advise?...

And other than halucinations to entertain me, did any of you find

any way to pass the time that worked well with the lengthy stay..I

think it's pretty much a " People Magazine " kinda time but I really

don't much care for that mag. ordinarily so I wonder if it will hold

me for two weeks!

Any other advice is most welcome..I really can't remember what I

brought to my first surgery, my mom was by my bedside pretty much

the whole time so if I needed anything, she got it. I think this

time my hubby will be back and forth a bit....so I may have a few

days one my own....although I am sure I will be seeing Ann and

Carolyn!

If I can get this info into some kind of order, maybe it can go into

the file section.

Thanks...

Cam
