Hi Barb, I had the very same concerns when my stem cells were harvested in August 2003. At that time I was PCRU but I was very concerned about firing up those quiescent cells. I went ahead with the GCSF and harvest. My harvested cells came back zero by FISH; they were not test by PCR. However, all subsequent testing to date of both peripheral blood and bone marrow has remained PCRU. Hope this helps in your decision-making process.
