Guest guest
Hi I'm a single grandmother who has been raising a grandson since birth who recently turned 5. He was diagnosed with ADHD severe and SPD @ age 3. He was very slow in speech. He just started really speaking this last year. He is a very visual learner. He does have great difficulty answering questions without visual cues. He is taking omega combination over the last month. He is also on metadate CD daily. He takes melatonin @ nite to help him to go to sleep. He is still not toileted trained but working on it. This is his second year in school in a special class for other kids with special challenges. He has high risk of bi-polar since his father is bi-polar. He has risks related to drug and alcohol use his mother did while in utero. He is a blessing to me, his father (my son)made a difficult but wise decision to have me raise him knowing he could not do so until he can get things together if he is able. He does see his father on weekly supervised visits. I want to find the best solutions for him so he can be prepared for life and take care of himself. He loves people and always has a smile on his face.
