Dickinson's writing has certainly stood the test of time. I had forgotten the one below but just came across it at the Poetry Foundation site and thought some Feisty members might enjoy it:

Surgeons must be very careful

by Dickinson Surgeons must be very careful When they take the knife!

Underneath their fine incisions

Stirs the Culprit - Life!
