Guest guest
Hi Everyone, As most of you probably know, Bob Ash recently passed away. It's always unfortunate when one of our own loses the battle. I don't know Bob's family personally nor do I know what his cause of death was but I did find this old post of his that was dated Nov 23, 2004. It explains his history quite detailed which I thought you might be interested to read. My sincerest condolances to Bob's family and friends, Tracey __________________________________________ From: " Bob Ash " <BOBASH@...> Date: Tue Nov 23, 2004 9:25 am I am in a BMS trial at MCACC and all at MCACC seem to be doing quite well with the drug. There is a second trial, AMN (by Novartis) which is producing similiar results. Pior to my start in the trial, I was 79% blasts in my marrow. In a couple of weeks, I was at 1% blasts. I was Gleevec resistant and was on 800mg Gleevec and hydrea prior to starting the BMS trial. Side effects seem to be non existant and both drugs are rumored to be ready for expanded location, phase two trials.
