Guest guest
It's probably a good time to repeat this: If you are seeking firsthand reviews of a given revision surgeon, it's fine to send a query to a group like this. But it may be even more effective to go to the Feisty website and input a search term -- e.g., " Ondra " -- in the appropriate box. This should turn up every post that has ever appeared here regarding the subject of your interest. (We have been online and posting for more than six years now.) You can do the same thing at any other groupn devoted to scoliosis or flatback syndrome. You may also want to check out other site features such as " Files " and " Links. " Often you will find a good deal of additional information this way. I also like to google people or subjects from time to time, inputting " Ondra " or " Rand " or whomever. You'd be surprised what a variety of stuff sometimes comes up -- everything from a doctor's political party contributions to the transcript of a lively TV interview in which he took part. I remember reading some fascinating account of all the junk food Ondra ate in place of real meals while commuting to the home he so seldome sees, given his madcap schedule at Northwestern and elsewhere. Wish I could supply the citation -- it even enumerated his taste in music. A very fun read that made him seem even more endearing. I think that asking these questions of the group as a whole may not always be the most efficient approach because people who had good experiences may now be all better and have left the group, or people still in the group may have answered the question so many times over, they might just balk at reinventing the wheel. Although, on the whole, I am pleasantly suprised at how much kindness and patience this particular group has always shown when asked the same questions again and again. Feisty members are well aware that newcomers will be wanting to know the same things all previous newcomers have wanted to know, and I am grateful that so many in this group are so willing to write about these issues repeatedly. Of course if you have exhausted all the available resources (including those I have suggested here) and you still can't find beans about your potential revision surgeon, you should certainly send out an APB for everything anyone may know! Just my 2 cents. Best,
