Guest guest
Hi there to everyone,I haven't written in a while. I've been recovering from my surgeries in St.Louis, far from home. I was originally planning to be here for a June 2nd surgery, but then needed a surgery on June 19th. The first one consisted of removal of my Harrington Rod, fusion to my sacrum, and an indirect decompression. After this surgery, I was still in agony as far as my leg pain, so the doctor went back in and did a direct decompression. He has also said I will need an anterior surgery for placement of cages. The leg pain is gone, though I'm still on norco and neurontin. Two days ago, I went off the oxy. My days have been ok, but my nights have been horrible! It's like I can't stop moving, way worse than restless leg, but now with having the surgery and these terrible nights I don't have much flexibility to move around like I feel like I need to! This has been the hardest part for me so far! I am so homesick, which coupled with weaning off narcotics, well it's not the best combination. no sleep either...lots of tears.Well, I hope this finds everyone well, and if anyone has any feedback, it's always appreciated.take care, lauren
