Hi,

One of my hip replacement internet friends brought this site to my

attention this morning for what it says about yoga. But I found even

more interesting the videos about the history of scoliosis. I didn't

watch them all, but thought some of you might be interested. I was

struck by the doc's expression of frustration that they still don't

have a good explanation for the cause of idiopathic scoliosis.

That is a good site, Loriann. I hadn't seen it for a while, and they've added a

lot of videos. When I saw it they only had the ones on McKenna's surgery.

Which ones are on the history of scoliosis? The Cotrel and Dubousset

interviews?

Yes, Sharon, those are the ones.

Funny you mentioned the McKenna surgery ones. I clicked on a couple

of those videos this morning but had to close them. Gave me a

horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I started to feel

faint.....

I know what you mean, Loriann. When I watched them they were new, and I kept

watching for updates on her story. It was incredible cathartic, and I shed

quite a few tears.

I wonder if Dr. Cotrel was really looking frustrated with the elusive cause of

idiopathic scoliosis, or if he was really frustrated with having to speak zee

Angliche.

Has anyone ever tried calinetics? It was big about twenty years ago. The women

that developed it had scoliosis. A friend of mine used to be her massage

therapist in NYC and she said that for an older women, she had a fantastic body.

I haven't thought about it in years. I think I have a book somewhere.

Ann,

Since I'm on and off lately due to my neck pain, I have missed your surgery

date. When is it? I want to be able to keep you in my prayers.

Love,

Carole M.
