Guest guest
Eileen, How rude that receptionist was! I'd steer clear of that office altogether. There are caring doctors out there that do have a caring staff to help us thru our unique body shape. Hang in there & if the @#%$#^ calls you back, have a whistle or gong ready to sound over the phone in her ear & then hang up, or whatever. Best wishes, Joyce-Atlanta

Guest guest
I forgot to mention that Hospital for Special Surgery is affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University. (You'd think I work for HSS the way I keep going on about them, but I'm just trying to get good info out to everyone.) :-) Robin
Guest guest
Welcome Michele. It's nice to meet a fiesty who is in my age range (I'm 56). I wasn't fused until age 46, and had revision surgery at 52. Your life story is very interesting. I found myself wanting to hear more. You have certainly been through a lot in your 60 years and your determination and resilience comes through in your writing. You won't be alone here. There are so many people w/so much combined life experience and caring to offer. The best part is being in the company of people who really do " know " about scoliosis from first hand and personal experience. Looking forward to h earing from you again. Take good care, Jennie
