Guest guest
Hello all, I've just created a new database for State-licensed Therapists, i.e., occupational and physical therapists and speech and language pathologists who have volunteered to serve as reference contacts for other therapists regarding working with Svetlana's methods. Currently, we have 2 OTs, a PT, and a SLP in the database. The link is /database?method=reportR ows & tbl=7. From my experience as a parent, I find that parents often want to speak to other parents regarding a new method they've heard about, and so I thought, likewise, licensed therapists would want to do the same and hear from other state-licensed therapists on how Svetlana's work fits into their clinical, private practice, and/or school-based services with challenged children and what their experiences have been. So, if you are a state-licensed therapist trying to learn more, or know of a colleague who you could interest in Svetlana's work, you can contact these individuals or provide others with the contact information for the therapists in this database. Parents, these individuals are also very valuable resources if you are trying to interest your child's OT, PT, or SLP in learning these programs so that they can support you in working with your child and begin to use Svetlana's techniques in sessions with your child. I am very fortunate to have professionals who work with my son who have taken Svetlana's courses and who have experienced the effectiveness of her methods. It has made my son's therapies that much stronger and has also allowed us to include reflex integration goals into my son's IEP (Individual Education Plan). We have had two successful in-service presentations to state-licensed therapists in the Bay Area and I know there will be more in the future, so this database will continue to grow. If you would like to arrange an in-service presentation when Svetlana will be in your area, please email Svetlana (masgutova@...) or Pamela Curlee (pamelacurleebg@...), or in the Bay Area, you can also email me at val-freitas@.... If you are a state-licensed practitioner and have some great experiences with these methods you would like to share and would like to be included in this database, you can create a record for yourself in the database. Once you have a record, please let me know if you need to make any additions or changes.
