Guest guest
Hi, I would like to hear from folks who have flatback syndrome (those who have had surgery and those who may face it in the future) about whether you were working (outside the home) before you had your flatback surgery? I know that all situations are different, but I'd like to hear at what point you stopped working, and then how long after surgery can one expect to go back to work. Yeah, I am looking for any shred of hopeful news I can get about my future. Also, at what point after the surgery can one expect to do household chores, drive, take care of children, etc. And if one isn't working and has flatback or has surgery for it, has anyone successfully qualified for disability payments from the government. I have flatback, am very bent forward, find it difficult to stand for very long, but have not had surgery for it yet. I stopped working because working and trying to take care of a family was too hard for me due to the fatigue from the imbalance and the pain from my hip arthritis. Best wishes to you all and I look forward to hearing from you, (Note: I also just posted this same question on the Salvaged Sister forum as there may be people who read that site, but not this one).
