Guest guest
Oooohhh, when I read E.B.'s post: " The best prognosis is that I become a " Barbie doll " (i.e. fused through to the sacrum and can't tie my shoes or tend to my kids)I had to re-read to see exactly what was meant. I decided the intent was to simply put up a visual of how " stiff " one might appear/be post-revision? I want to say that when contemplating surgery I was fortunate that I had the opportuity to meet DianneS and see for myself how the idea in my head of how stiff " revision to sacrum " might be differed from the lovely, natural pose and poise of my friend...it set my mind at ease. Today, struggling to get clothing on, <pause> (for the visual!), I am sure I do not look so poised.. but at 8 weeks " post " I can dress reasonably well, put on my socks and shoes (so I can go for a walk!), and I am beginning to pull some parenting weight around here. For those contemplating surgery there may be more to hope for in this regard....Cam
Guest guest
As for the guys in this group who may have to get fused to S-1, well, they turn into Ken. And then we all move to Stepford. > > Oooohhh, when I read E.B.'s post: > > " The best prognosis is that I become a " Barbie doll " (i.e. fused > through to the sacrum and can't tie my shoes or tend to my kids) I > had to re-read to see exactly what was meant. > > I decided the intent was to simply put up a visual of how " stiff " > one might appear/be post-revision? Guest guest
Oh, no, ! Do we need to send a bipartisan, gender-neutral rescue committee? You do have emergency contact information for the Feisty S.W.A.T. team, right? We also have a seasoned on-call hostage negotiator . . . :-) All kidding aside, I have not actually seen the newer Stepford Wives flick. My memory of the first one is enough to give me the creeps bigtime. > - I think I skipped the Barbie/Ken stage and moved right on in to > Stepford! > ~~ > > >
