UN Special Session on HIV/AIDS 6/25/2001 United Nations,

New York, NY Live coverage resumes Monday, June 25th at 9

a.m. ET.

The United Nations General Assembly will convene for a

3-day special session to address the significant increase

in HIV/AIDS cases worldwide. From June 25-27th, nine plenary

sessions will address AIDS action plans, resource mobilization,

social commitments to the epidemic, and establish future

prevention priorities. The UN and numerous health

organizations are also sponsoring events to increase

public awareness of the AIDS epidemic.
