Guest guest
Just what is the current medical opinion on the dangers of Prednisolone? 20 years ago, I continually took up to 30mg prednisolone/day, along with occasional intravenous steroids over an eight year period, to control severe asthma. (This also incidentally controlled my polyps.) When inhaled steroids became generally available, I tailed off the tablets. (Polyps returned.) I always enjoyed a lot of dairy produce, so calcium was not a problem and my bones have been well tested to be strong. Temporary shortage of adrenaline was the only obvious side effect. It seems to me that the medics are not specific when they guard against Prednisolone use, but my experience would suggest that it is nothing like as dangerous as suggested. Is this something else they just don't know? .
