My daughters adenoid operation

Yesterday my eldest daughter (14) had her adenoids removed, and the doctor also

did a full endoscopy of her sinuses too to see what the situation is there.

Luckily my daughter does not have sinusitis or nasal /sinus polyps, but she does

have rhinitis.

I am pleased she has finally had her adenoids out after years of issues, and

very happy she doesn't have any polyps or sinus issues (just checking, seeing as

she has constant sinus-type headaches and blocked/runny nose). We'll get her

checked for allergies when she's recovered from this op, but I do hope that

things will improve for her now that her adenoids have gone (removed by burning

them off).

So I am relieved that she's had her op and mine is getting closer - one down and

one to go ;) I have to say though that seeing her wake up very groggy and in

pain, with blood dripping out of both nostrils did give me a reality check for

what I'll be in for soon....

At least she is home today and doing really well, even though still in lots of

pain despite painkillers.

Hi Becky,

Give her a hug for me. So glad all went well and that she is not showing signs of samters! That's something to celebrate!
