Dear Friends,

This is high time that all NGOs and concerned public

to raise our united voice against the neglect of the

AusAid grant which was supposed to help prevent the

infection of HIV transmission in the North Eastern

states especially the state like Manipur where the

incidences are very high. shall set up a

campaign on this issue.

Regards

G.

Dear Forum Members,

I suggest that we have a representative body of this forum, and take up the

matter further with NACO/GOI thru this body. Grants are always preferable over

loans. The inefficiency in functioning of a few govt./non govt. bodies should

not be taken as a benchmark for refusing GRANTS-FOR A CAUSE.

The decision the accept/refuse a grant can be jointly taken. I very strongly

feel that it should be taken further.

Thanks

Dear Forum members, Nita is right,

The AUSAID grant is being re-negotiated without 70 per cent going back

into Australian pockets. I asked AUSAID how they gave grants -- one grant

has gone to an obscure, fanatical Christian group that believes it is

sin to donate blood and such conservative views that homosexuals will

attract the anger of 'God'. Surely our group should protest such grants?
