Hi Andy,

You did a superb job!

How many mg did you start with? How did you cut the aspirin. What dose did you react to?

I believe the aspirin has shrunk my polyps. I haven’t been to an ENT for two years, but the primary doc can’t see them.

Best of luck for your recovery,

Pam

I re-read through the experiences on here and went along with Ken

West's outline (in the Library - thanks Ken! where are you now??)

and started at a very low dose repeated at 3 hr intervals, and

increased if no reaction.

Gradually I increased the dose day by day until I'm on 4 X 300mg

aspririns per day for 2 weeks

I take them in 2 doses, 1 each with lunch and dinner (to try to

minimise any stomach upsets/indigestion/heartburn).

The only real difference between what I did and what the

Immunologist did was to wait longer between doses and spread it out

over days rather than hours.

So far (2 weeks+) even though I currently have a pretty bad cold, I

*know* my polyps aren't as bad as I haven;t used any topical

steroids (nasal sprays) for over 2 weeks yet I can still breathe

through my nose at night.

I'm still anosmic (no SoS) though. That's the main reason I had to

try aspirin desens. although I read it can take weeks/months for

things to improve in that area.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

Andy
