Guest guest
I never realized that a bacterium ie. Staph Aureus could enter an epithelial cell. Also thanks for the reference re ; NAC and pseudomonas biofilms .I'm using baby shampoo with cromolyn and a pulmicort respule in isotonic ringer's in a Neil Med bottle with vinegar ( about 15ml in an 8 oz Neil Med Bottle).I guess I could substitute the NAC for the baby shampoo.I add the vinegar first to help clean the bottle and hope this may have an antifungal activity. Getting the irrigating solution out of your sinuses is a very good idea considering pseudomonas thrives in moist environments. The article regarding irrigation negatively affecting mucous and it's protective qualities doesn't address us as a group or as a cohort and probably doesn't apply to us. Thanks for looking outside the normal ENT journals and providing this information. Sincerely Wayne
