Tami, I'm glad you found my comments helpful, I hope I stressed

enough that I feel you are going through some tough stuff and I

empathize a lot. There are no easy solutions with this illness,

especially when it comes to painkillers.

You can get through this and take your life back, I know you can.

It is a long road but you can do it. Panic attacks can be worse

than the headaches! I've had many panic attacks and they SUCK.

The headaches you describe that you get about 10 times a year sound

definitely like migraines. I did not have a numbness reaction to

Relpax -- maybe you just were relieved of the pain that in contrast

you felt numb. :) But there are many great migraine medications

these days so maybe you could find something else that would not

cause that. They are expensive also many docs have samples, and

they might not work for regular headaches (although I find they work

great for me for all kinds of headaches) but it is not economical at

ALL to use them daily or even very frequently.

If you get the surgery, then afterwards maybe you can start fresh

and start irrigating and all that and using the sprays. I always

have quite the sprays in the past when I get worse, and I realized

that exacerbates the problem, so I am doing the sprays always now.

I don't think surgery is a solution as I mentioned earlier this

week, but if it can clean you out and get you a fresh start, go for

it. Especially if it can help with the headaches, that would be

fantastic for you.

I do get huge globs of mucus, I always wonder where the hell it came

from -- where was it " stored? " :) I do take Mucinex sometimes when

I have a particular kind of thick mucus. It is supposed to thin it

out, but you do have to drink a ton of water like someone mentioned.

Good luck and keep us posted, hang in there!!! Whatever you do, do

not do this alone.

Lori
