Guest guest
I looked online...and got this 95180Medicine Rapid desensitization procedure, each hour (eg, insulin, penicillin, horse serum). $72.67 Will try and get a CPT manual to look at...at least I know where to start now CPT codes? Does anyone know the CPT Code(s) for undergoing the aspirin desensitization? My DR has recommended that I go to Scripps. Need the CPT Codes, per my insurance company, to see if it will be covered. I placed calls to both Scripps and my DR's office in Chicago w/ no luck. Thought maybe I would try here. Thanks, WDP More new features than ever. Check out the new AOL Mail! Guest guest
What exactly did you ask when you called Scripps? Did you call the actual aspirin desenstization clinic? I am quite sure they would help you as much as possible, since this is no longer done on a study. Lori > > Does anyone know the CPT Code(s) for undergoing the aspirin > desensitization? Guest guest
I'm sorry I'm a transcriber but I'm not a medical biller, and I don't really know the CPT codes. This would be good information to have. I took a brief look through the database and did not find it, although it may be there. Maybe someone who's had it done recently could look on their bill, because it would definitely be on a bill or explanation of benefits statement somewhere. In any case I would suggest calling the place where you're going to have it done. I can't imagine Scripps would not be able to help with this if you called the right place and were persistent. Guest guest
My insurance company did not use a cpt code I had a person that I worked with and all billing went through them. As I said before it took a great deal of effort to get to this stage because the usual pathway with a request with a code from a doctor got rejected right away. I had to speak with a real person to get them to understand the situation and I also spoke to the state insurance regulatory group for help and advice.
