Guest guest
Jane, I have not had balloon sinuplasty, but there a re a number of articles out there showing it is safe and that a majority of patients who tried it were apparently satisfied. It has a good safety and success record in the literature. At any rate, it does not create special complications. The only thing is that the surgeon has to use a moderate amount of radiation to make sure (via imagery) that the balloon is inserted in the right place. But I believe they are working to get rid of the radiation by using strong light or whatever else. > > Hi Friends! I am wondering if anyone has had a " Baloon Sinusplasty " surgery in the last year. I am now facing my 9th Polyp surgery and my ENT is going to do a " Baloon Sinusplasty " in order to open the sinus cavities further to clean them out and pull out polyps. I am trying not to feel too discouraged, but I have been desensitized to aspirin and taking aspirin faithfully every day for the last 3 years. I kind of feeling like, " What was the point? " I would appreciate any feedback from any of you who may have had this procedure done. > Thanks, as always! > Jane >
