Guest guest
No, I don't make it myself (though I wish I could because it would probably be a lot cheaper). I have it made at a compounding pharmacy in Houston, TX.... when I got it filled, the pharmacist said that he had to call the Mayo clinic to get the formulation because they are the only ones doing it right now. I honestly don't know much about it, but my doctor said it was just another way to try to block leukotrienes. HOWEVER, I did some Googling and came across a " recipe " that called for crushing up one or two singulair tablets and putting them into saline... not sure how much I would trust it, but then, perhaps this is all my pharmacist is doing (and in that case, I wish I could do it myself because it would save me tons o' money). > > I wanted to head off any comments with the following > disclaimer.... > > > > Before anyone jumps to saying that the only reason I feel good is > that > > I'm still on prednisone, I wanted to say that isn't true.
