Guest guest
Sorry, but you hit a nerve with me so please don't take offense I've read it cover to cover two years ago and I think it's a load of crap and worse than that it's designed to make people feel guilty. There are a few common sense things in the book (like we shouldn't have soda, I think -- yes, it's true, soda is just about as bad as drinking battery acid, but it doesn't take a doctor to tell us that!) but otherwise I think it's awful and just made me feel terrible and I cried for weeks thinking I did everything bad to myself, even though I'm a fairly healthy eater, have never smoked and I don't drink alcohol. My one vice right now is soda although I've never been a big soda drinker, and I do plan to stop drinking it. I don't eat red meat, I eat fish and some chicken and turkey. Anyway I just don't like that book at all. Even the stuff that's true is pretty much impossible to do unless you move to another country. Lori > > Hi Lori, > Just checking to see how you are doing. Guest guest
Hi Lori, I'm not offended at all. I haven't read much of it yet, but my sister has. There is one thing that I'm trying though, and that's the peroxide, and after I started drinking it, I had gobs of infection coming out of my sinuses. I never have drainage, so it was a positive thing for me. Now it makes sense why she's so insistant on me eating better soon. I'm a tough sell though, so I will do what I want, as always. After I'm done working I plan to read the book so I have a better understanding of where you are coming from. If there is one thing in life I have realized, it's to let go of any guilt. Sometimes, things are what they are, period. I have very strong faith and that has taken my guilt away for the most part. I'm very sorry if I upset you Lori. I didn't realize the book was based on eating and guilt, I thought it was a book on natural cures like drinking peroxide and I had such good luck with it so far, I thought I'd share it. I will be more careful in the future to read the material before sharing. Hope you are having a good day today. Mold is out of my house now, but I'm still working in the raspberry fields which are loaded with mold, so my headaches persist. I'm hoping to be completely healed when the snow flies. Tami Re: how are things going Sorry, but you hit a nerve with me so please don't take offenseI've read it cover to cover two years ago and I think it's a load of crap and worse than that it's designed to make people feel guilty. Guest guest
Tami Do you know anything about the aspirin desentisization program at the U of W hospital in Madison? Re: Re: how are things going Hi Pam, You get it at a health food store. My sis did a ton of research on this. There's also all kinds pro and con web sites on this. This is not something the medical profession would be in favor of due to political reasons I think...but can't offer a completely informed comment yet. I've been working 12 hour days for a couple of months now and haven't had time to do anything else besides rest as my body is completely shutting down with fatigue from all the mold outside. I live in Wisconsin and it is almost 90 today with high humidity. We are breaking records here. I'm waiting for fall!!!!!! I'm going to keep checking into this peroxide thing. It wasn't until after I started doing the peroxide that my sinuses started to drown me. Within 24 hours, I think. I have never seen so much infected mucus ever come out of my snout. The mold had been just removed from my home, so wasn't sure which it was, but after I stopped doing peroxide, within two days my sinuses stopped draining and the pressure was incredible. When I started the peroxide the second time, it started draining again. Who knows, but this is the closest I've come to my sinuses draining in years. I actually had a runny nose one day. Guest guest
, I didn't hear about it. Could you give me more info, as I am very interested in getting desensed, that is, if you know more about it. I finally talked my doc into doing it if my headaches don't go away this winter. I'm terribly sick of pain meds. I already stopped the tramadol last week and will stop the darvon after my raspberry season. Did you do the desense there? Or are you thinking about doing it? Madison is only 1.5 hours from my house. I live in sport (Fond du Lac county). do you live close to Madison. Guest guest
I'd love to try the onion juice, there's just one problem, I hate onions. I've tried to eat them thinking it was a rediculous thing to gag over, but to no avail. If I get brave enough someday, I may try it. Guest guest
Hi Tami, The book is not just about eating, it's about every single thing you do all day long basically and how everything we do is bad for us. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it after you read it. My doctor has kind of a spoof on that book called, well, " Everything You Do is Bad for You " or " Everything You Do Can Kill You " or something like that, which honestly is quite true. We all are going to die it's just a matter of when and how. I don't remember the part about drinking peroxide, it seems pretty dangerous to me, but I had to put the book away because some of it upset me so much. I don't know if I still have it here or if I sold it on Amazon. Letting go of guilt is a good idea. very hard to do when reading that book because the kind of lifestyle one would have to live following what it says in that book is pretty much impossible and is guilt-laden for how one has been living their life. Also I don't think a person is supposed to do only some of the things in the book, you're supposed to try to do all of them otherwise they don't work as well because we're all polluting our bodies in other ways. Hugs to you, Tami! Lori > > > > Hi Lori, > > Just checking to see how you are doing. I'm checking into a book > written by " Trudeau " called natural cures. > > Has anyone read it? Guest guest
Tom, Good luck to you on the desensitization. I am 4 months into the process and doing great. Stick with it. You might not feel your best during the first month of it but stick with it. I really think you'll feel it will be worth it. I already do and I'm not even done with the process yet. I just started irrigating with NeilMed within the last few month and highly recommend it to all of you. I use 8 oz. of filtered water, warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and then irrigate. It really helps. As far as the asthma  is concerned, my doctor has me using a Flovent inhaler, and I haven’t had an asthma attack in over 10 years. Before that I was having 2 or 3 major attacks a day and had to use an Albuterol inhaler or a Nebulizer. My best to all of you. I’m glad I found this group after having this condition for 15 years. If we all keep sharing information, hopefully they will find a cure for us. Guest guest
Hi Mark, First of all, my ENT is an incredible doctor and surgeon. His name is Dr. Pingree. After several surgeries with polyps growing back, he talked me into trying desensitization. He sent me to Dr. Mark Ebadi at Colorado Asthma and Allergy, 720-858-7600. His office is out on the old Lowry base. He also has an office for allergy shots at Denver West. He has done a lot of research into desensitization and I feel so lucky to have found a doctor so knowledgable right here in the Denver area. I would highly recommend him. Like I said, I am 4 months into this and have a few months to go on the high level of aspirin. I will begin to taper off in January. I am already showing signs of success! Keep me posted.
