Guest guest
I have moderate stenosis at L2 3 & 4 and severe at L4 & 5. I also have cauda equine syndrome from the stenosis. I applied for SSDI in April of 2005 and was approved in august of 2005 and started in November of that year when the six month waiting period was up. > > > > > > > I am taking Lyrica now and the only > > thing it does for me is stop the leg cramps that I > > was having way too often. Guest guest
What are you doing for the cauda equine syndrome? I just researched this and fear I may be headed this way. I already have lots of nerve damage in my feet and legs. Joan I have moderate stenosis at L2 3 & 4 and severe at L4 & 5. I also have cauda equine syndrome from the stenosis. I applied for SSDI in April of 2005 and was approved in august of 2005 and started in November of that year when the six month waiting period was up. > > > > > > > I am taking Lyrica now and the only> > thing it does for me is stop the leg cramps that I> > was having way too often. Guest guest
Not much except spend a ton of money on diapers every month. Mine was a delayed diagnosis so the damage was already done and non reversible. > > > > > > > > > > > I am taking Lyrica now and the only > > > thing it does for me is stop the leg cramps that I > > > was having way too often. Guest guest
hey Joan I was talking with my sister today and we talked about the same thing. finding a good ortho dr. seeing about the injections, etc. then proceed from there. a new MRI would also be on the menu. I appreciate all the info and input from everyone. Guest guest
thanks Joan! From: Joan Wingo <joanwingo2@...>Subject: ShannaSpinal Stenosis Treatment Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 4:42 AM Lyrica (pregabalin) is used to control seizures, treat nerve pain and fibromyalgia. I tried Lyrica for several months for the neuropathy and nerve damage in my legs. It didn't do anything except stop the leg cramps. The generic for Neurontin helps my nerve damage much more, but it doesn't stop any of the pain. I take hydrocodone for that. I wish you luck with finding something that helps you. Joan Hi a pain managment dr I saw today for my elbow pain, gave me a sample pack of Lyrica after we started talking about my spinal stenosis pain. I did a research on it, and I am afraid to take it. I have a heart condition, thyroid, HBP etc and take many other meds. I want to help my stenosis pain, but dont want to kill myself trying meds that might be bad for me! Anyone?? Guest guest
Thanks. Hi wanted to tell that the DR I used was Bien MD - Nevada Pain Management. I found this site that lists Pain Management DR by State: http://www.ucomparehealthcare.com/drs/pain_management_physicians/ I hope this helps anyone who needs it. shannaKavies Troll Town Troll Dolls, TY Babies, Vegas Items, Collectible Cups, Glassware & More! Having them without anesthesia makes me think you didn't get the right kind of shots. Hi lie, Looks like the surgery was a success, right? I am beginning to look to buying a condo in Fla.Maybe we will be neighbors one day. Incidentally I have had 6 epidurals without any anesthesia wasnt a big deal except didnt really help me one day I will probably follow your lead and have the surgery ,but I have to find the right surgeon meanwhile I still swim a mile a day and that does help me Re:Shanna I had pain -steroid shots two years in a row. The first year the group of 3 lasted for a whole year. The second year they did not work as well and I ended up with a laminectomy. I was put in a twilight sleep for all shots and felt almost nothing. I would definitely find a doctor that puts you to sleep. The only thing is that you need someone to drive you home because of the anesthesia. I had a milegram without anything and that was terrible plus I got the migraine headaces afterwards. lie No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 8.5.287 / Virus Database: 270.12.1/2071 - Release Date: 04/21/09 08:30:00 No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.com Version: 8.5.287 / Virus Database: 270.12.1/2071 - Release Date: 04/21/09 08:30:
