Guest guest
, Many but not all have had success with the desensitization. . There are some files on it here in the library if you haven't read them. Within the last couple of weeks I posted some statistics from a Scripps study that gave the percentage results they got after people were on aspirin for a year, I think it was in the range of 70 percent of people had improvement in symptoms. I personally had amazing success with it and was on the aspirin for seven years. I got my life back because of it because I was so very sick before the desensitization. It is offered by other doctors in different parts of the country but I do not know about Florida specifically. I doubt it will be offered at the new research park in Florida for Scripps, but it doesn't hurt to ask them! Some people self-desensitize, although that's not for me. I almost never take antibiotics personally. I find they exacerbate my sinus condition usually. I have been tested for fungus and they have never gotten a positive culture. I am not sure that means for sure I don't have a fungal infection and I use antifungal measures, mostly probiotics. I find them helpful. I take a powder once or twice a day called UltraFlora Plus. For the recurrent sinus infections, I find if I irrigate my sinuses I do not get many infections, and when I do I do not go on antibiotics unless I have a fever or other symptoms or pneumonia which I did have last year (walking pneumonia). Hopefully someone from Florida will be able to help you with a referral. Lori
