Guest guest
Lori, I'm the gal who wrote about having to decrease aspirin while undergoing surgery. I was reduced from 1300mg quickly down to 81mg. Not exactly the Scripps recipe, but I did what my docs recommended. My surgery (deviated septum) is now over and it went very well. I am staying on 81mg until this Thursday, I will then make a jump to 325mg for a few days and then jump back up to 1300mg. I can tell you that I did not have a major respiratory reaction to reducing the aspirin but I have not felt as well physically since decreasing. My migraines came back and I've just had an overall feeling of fatigue and lack of energy. And this was before any surgery. So, I am anxious to get back my aspirin level back up! Happy New Year to all. It is the protocol given to people who have desensitization done at Scripps Clinic in case they need to undergo elective surgery at a later date. I'm really not sure that it has been proven that people bleed out on aspirin anyway, but that's a different story.Lori Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
