I received an email from a rep with Critical Therapeutics regarding the release of Zyflo early 2005. They purchased the rights to distribute the drug after it was dropped by Abbott. If you go to their website you can get on their list to be informed when the release will actually be. The new pill will be timed release. This is the only drug that has helped control my nasal polyps. Trudy <iamthezookeeper@...> wrote:

, thank you for this information! I will get on list to be

notified. I wonder why Abbott dropped it, could it be that there are

not millions suffering from Samters therefore not enough money could

be made? If something controls polyps without repeated surgery, that

would such a blessing. Thanks again. Trudy.

, the owner of this list, wrote that petition. Since it's

been sold I don't know if the petition is still " valid. " ...?

I know they weren't making money, but also there are liver tests

needed with Zyflo/zileuton and that may have been part of the

problem. I don't know if anyone died but I think they have what's

called a black box warning about liver malfunction which can cause

sales of a drug to drop if there are alternatives.
