Guest guest
Dear Dudley and Group: I hit upon some of Dudley's Webspawner sites when researching Edgar Cayce's comments and recommendations on kidney disease. The situation is that my 96 year old mother, of whom I'm the fulltime caregiver, has been exhibiting low energy lately, and we took her to urgent care last weekend. Everything was fine with the CBC, but the Basic Metabolic Panel reported an eGFR of 49, which indicates kidney disease stage 3. Our doctor says this is to be expected in patients of mom's age, and he is even surprised about how good the value still is (he says some of his 70 year old patients would envy mom's kidneys). I have made initial overtures regarding a naturopathic approach and, gratefully, he is receptive. Mom's hospital apparently enables the doctor to get consultations from naturopaths. We haven't experienced any symptoms of kidney stones, and hope things can stay that way. Our initial research on Edgar Cayce's remedies indicate celery seed tea for kidney stones, but we wouldn't want to start elimination of stones at this time, as I know the pain can be unbearable (the founder of the church of which I'm a member, Baker Eddy, had to take morphine when eliminating stones--something which up to that point had been entirely opposed to her philosophy). There is the presence of psoriasis of the scalp, which suggests poor eliminations. We are taking small steps to improve diet and using methods already approved by the doctor (Swedish Bitters, psyllium husk powder). I would like to figure out if there are any Edgar Cayce remedies out there which could be helpful. Thanks, Cam McIntosh
