Hi all,

News Flash - 9:52am Eastern Time - The good news is that for about 3-4 minutes I had smell!! The bad news is that I was in an old, empty office building and all I could smell was a pungant, musty odor. Oh well, at least I got to smell something. Hopefully it will happen again and I will be in a steakhouse somewhere ;-)

That’s outstanding!! This will be

amazing if it continues. Often, when I get my smell back (from prednisone), I

get it all of a sudden, then it goes away for perhaps days, before returning

and lasting. Maybe that will happen to you.

Good luck!

During those rare episodes of being able to smell, I relish ALL smells, no

matter how much they would have offended me before Samters took hold . . .

rotting leaves, hot tar, deadskunkinthemiddleoftheroad, sewer gas, no -- ANY

gas, bus exhaust, dusty rooms, . . . ahhhhh . . . DELICIOUS!

Rob -

That's good enough for me - I'm going to order some today! I guess

one thing you can say about us Samterites is that we're pretty much

willing to try any and everything.

Hi all,

I am continuing to use the Sinus Buster spray. I have notice a few more times that I have had taste/smell. It still only lasts for a little while (2-15 minutes) but I did get to taste half of a Dairy Queen blizzard... mmmmm! I also think that I am only tasting with one side of my sinuses. The other side hasn't opened up yet.

I am sometimes using the spray with my head in an inverted position, both forward & backward. That seems to help but be careful because the spray comes out MUCH faster when it is turned upside down so don't squeeze too hard (I am speaking from experience!).

I have an appointment today with my family doctor to see if he thinks I should be treated for a sinus infection. Maybe that will accelerate the effect of the Sinus Buster. I really think that if I can get things opened back up the Sinus Buster should keep it opened. I may even consider another surgery with Singular, aspirin desensitization and Sinus Buster as a follow-on therapy.
