Well, might somebody have a directory with the names and numbers of these people? From the sound of things the nationals are being sequestered away from what's going on right now at some junket to Rhode Island. (maybe?) Where are they staying? Is it impossible to picket this national meeting? Slip in a couple party poopers?

Yuck that's an wicked, ugly idea.

Re: ASA

I understand that the whole topic of the ASA letter is beingpre-censored off the ASA Chapter Network list. Not one peep has beenallowed to surface. No discussion, no dialong, no nada. Democracy inaction? Surely, Sally, you can't be the only ASA member giving themwhat-for over it.Lenny> >> > I find it interesting knowing all ASA officers and board members are > in > > Rhode Island for an annual conference there are suddenly so many > > anti-ASA e-mails posted on this listserve. msherrett.> > > __________________________________________________________> _> > Check out AOL.com today. • 1 year later...

It's definitely better for me. By the time I had desens, I was having to take Fosamax for bone loss. What's worse, it had gotten so I had to take much larger doses of Pred. to have an effect. In the almost 4 years since my desens, I've built my bone density back (no longer take Fosamax), lost 18 pounds and exercise regularly. I recently had a colonoscopy and asked the doctor (during the initial office visit) his opinion of my taking 1300mg of enteric aspirin daily. He said that he saw no harm and thought it could actually be beneficial -as long as there is no stomach irritation. , The kind of reaction you bring up is why some on this site have adamantly opposed self desensitization. If you can, go to Scripps in LaJolla, CA for desens. Dr son has desensitized many, many people. For me aspirin worked wonders. Unless you're one of the lucky ones (mild symptoms), you will likely reach a point when you will want to desensitize. If thus, it should be done post surgically. Good luck! Liz <rfleming@...> wrote: I see the connection, was thinking about that yesterday. ASA is NSAID but with my reaction I just don't know. As for the prednisone, I had no idea that was soo nasty until I started having side effects. I had taken it before with great improvement in my breathing but after researching and joining another support group for people taking it I hope I don't ever go back on it. I ended up on long term use and had every side effect imaginable. Insatiable appetite with weight gain, friends have asked how I beefed up lol. I think that rather than desens the VA is going to do the laser surgery but I am going to look into desens.

Pam, Yes, that is what my allergist, that desensitezed me, told me also. I am trying to wean off of prednisone now. I am down to 10mgs a day. Building a website is a piece of cake. Small Business gives you all the tools to get online.
