Guest guest
Hi Everyone. I'm so happy because I completed my ASA desensitization today. I feel great. Thanks to all of the great info on this board, it really helped me make the decision to do it. I'm excited to see how this treatment works over the next few months. I hope I can enjoy smelling and tasting for a long time.
Guest guest
Hi Becky - YES! And, I'm loving it. My smell and taste returned after polyp surgery in January and hopefully the aspirin treatment will keep those polyps away. This is the first time I can smell my son! It's so nice to cuddle with him after his bath and be able to smell him. And, it's nice not to be the last to discover that he needs a diaper change. And, so far I have no side effects from taking the maintenance aspirin dosage. > > From: julieryckeley <julieryckeley> > Subject: Yeah! Guest guest
- I can totally relate to your remark about smelling your son. I missed so many great smell moments with my kids, and I cannot tell you how many dirty diapers were left too long because I couldn't smell the problem - it led to a lot of diaper rash! One of my best memories is of smelling my daughter's birthday spice cake baking. It was a " breakthrough " smell episode that didn't last long, but it sure was a wonderful smell.....I really hope things stay positive for you!
