Guest guest
Dear As you might've read some of the posts, I and others take 650 mg twice a day, a.m and p.m. Some take 1300 mg in 4 takes(325mg), some take only 650mg/day, 325mg twice a day..As for taking another NSAID, it's not because of the cost aspirin is used, but because aspirin it is the drug most studied in connection with AERD (Samter's sdr.) and its effects are very well known. It is the gold standard. Every clinical desens study was undertaken using aspirin and not other NSAID.I'll look more into this subject and see what I can dig up.SergiuFrom: Wadkins <susanwadkins@...>Subject: desens. To: samters Date: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 8:37 PM So excited! Went to the allergist today and will desens as soon as I can schedule it. A question: it seems everyone takes different amounts each day to maintain. The bruising is a concern I have—do most of you do 650 a.m. and p.m. or just once a day? My other question is have you been able to stop medications like singulair and zyrtec too? Doc also said it wouldn’t matter if I took aspirin each day or another nsaid. I’m thinking most people take aspirin just for the low cost. Anyone taking anything else? Thanks so much for your help! I plan to read all the info in the files before beginning—this list has been a life saver!
