Guest guest
, congratulations on your pregnancy! That's wonderful! I am sorry to hear of your polyps returning so soon and your infection. I've been fighting a sinus infection since October. I am waiting for word on a CT scan I had of my sinuses on Monday. Good news on your asthma control as well! Mine is on a downward rollercoaster. Mine was getting better and then my daughter who is turning 13 (if I let her) polished her nails in her room. The smell of the polish set everything off again. <sigh> Perhaps the flush of hormones now will help you (here's hoping!) And again, congratulations! ---Gisele (Maine) > > hi all - hope you are well. it has been a hectic month and i havent > had much of a chance to check in. looks like i have alot of posts to > catch up on. > > anyway, i am feeling so discouraged today. i just came back from my > ent and i have yet another sinus infection. this is the second > infection i've had since my surgery at the end of september. and the > polyps are back. to top it all off, i'm pregnant - wonderful news and > i am so excited - but this will be the second round of antibiotics and > i am still well in my first trimester. i feel like the surgery i had > in september was pointless as is the elimination diet i have been > following. i was so scared of dealing with polyps infection, etc while > pregnant, and here i am in the exact boat i hoped wouldnt happen. the > good news, at least, is that my asthma remains in total control > despite the frigid weather. i can even take walks outside pushing a > stroller without any problems. i was concerned that the cold would be > a problem again this year, but so far, so good. > > jennifer (ny)
Guest guest
Hi , Many congratulations on your pregnancy! I asked about antibiotics recently as I was fed up of taking them orally=systemically. Someone mentioned crushing half a tablet finely and adding to nasal wash. I have tried this and it works a treat - but not sure if this is really ok with the doctors! Also, would need to guarantee that the nasal wash can reach all sinuses, which is tricky if polyps are there. Something to look into. Having said that, many women have had to take lots of antibiotics in pregnancy. I also took a few bursts of prednisone, the first one at 12-13weeks. Maybe that would help/be ok? Best of luck with it all :-) Becky xjbca623 <jbca623@...> wrote: hi all - hope you are well. it has been a hectic month and i haventhad much of a chance to check in. looks like i have alot of posts tocatch up on. anyway, i am feeling so discouraged today. i just came back from myent and i have yet another sinus infection. this is the secondinfection i've had since my surgery at the end of september. and thepolyps are back. to top it all off, i'm pregnant - wonderful news andi am so excited - but this will be the second round of antibiotics andi am still well in my first trimester. i feel like the surgery i hadin september was pointless as is the elimination diet i have beenfollowing. i was so scared of dealing with polyps infection, etc whilepregnant, and here i am in the exact boat i hoped wouldnt happen. thegood news, at least, is that my asthma remains in total controldespite the frigid weather. i can even take walks outside pushing astroller without any problems. i was concerned that the cold would bea problem again this year, but so far, so good.jennifer (ny) Win a castle for NYE with your mates and Messenger

Guest guest
Congrats on the pregnancy!! That's awesome news. We just had our first 3 months ago (tomorrow). My suggestion to new (and prospective) parents is to make sure you keep a full box of tissues near the changing table. While anosmia finally has its benefits the inevitable spigoty nose springs a leak at the worst times and when you need a handy rag make sure to grab a tissue and not (as I did once) the first soft absorbant object that may already have been used by a little someone else. /Avi > > hi all - hope you are well. it has been a hectic month and i havent > had much of a chance to check in. looks like i have alot of posts to > catch up on. > > anyway, i am feeling so discouraged today. i just came back from my > ent and i have yet another sinus infection. this is the second > infection i've had since my surgery at the end of september. and the > polyps are back. to top it all off, i'm pregnant - wonderful news and > i am so excited - but this will be the second round of antibiotics and > i am still well in my first trimester. i feel like the surgery i had > in september was pointless as is the elimination diet i have been > following. i was so scared of dealing with polyps infection, etc while > pregnant, and here i am in the exact boat i hoped wouldnt happen. the > good news, at least, is that my asthma remains in total control > despite the frigid weather. i can even take walks outside pushing a > stroller without any problems. i was concerned that the cold would be > a problem again this year, but so far, so good. > > jennifer (ny)
Guest guest
: Any sense of how much saline you mix with one respule? one cup? two cups? it's been magic thus far mixing with 200 ccs (100 per nostril) but I wonder how others do it. thanks ... great suggestion /Avi > >> > >> hi all - hope you are well. it has been a hectic month and i havent > >> had much of a chance to check in. looks like i have alot of posts to > >> catch up on. > >> > >> anyway, i am feeling so discouraged today. i just came back from my > >> ent and i have yet another sinus infection. this is the second > >> infection i've had since my surgery at the end of september. and the > >> polyps are back. to top it all off, i'm pregnant - wonderful news > > and > >> i am so excited - but this will be the second round of antibiotics > > and > >> i am still well in my first trimester. i feel like the surgery i had > >> in september was pointless as is the elimination diet i have been > >> following. i was so scared of dealing with polyps infection, etc > > while > >> pregnant, and here i am in the exact boat i hoped wouldnt happen. > > the > >> good news, at least, is that my asthma remains in total control > >> despite the frigid weather. i can even take walks outside pushing a > >> stroller without any problems. i was concerned that the cold would > > be > >> a problem again this year, but so far, so good. > >> > >> jennifer (ny) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
