Guest guest
I was researching aspirin and found the following " A combination of aspirin and gamma-tocopherol is superior to that of aspirin and alpha-tocopherol in anti-inflammatory action and attenuation of aspirin-induced side effects,Q.Jiang et al,Journal of nutritional Biochemistry,20,2009,894-900. Desensitization to asa is a valuable treatment but sometimes the side effects ie gastric bleeding resulting in low iron or B12 deficiency make it difficult to stick with.Does anyone else have other ideas other than proton pump inhibitors as a solution to this problem? Guest guest
What is gamma-tocopherol, if I may ask? Something asfy posted indicated that melatonin might help against gastric side effects. I don't know about the old teaspoon of Mylanta before bed? I couldn't handle 1350 mg aspirin/day, but seem to handle 325mg 2x/day well so far, and have no polyp growth and can eat everything w/o detriment.
