N-E gets Rs 30 cr for AIDS control

The Centre has allocated Rs 30 crore for the seven North-Eastern states to

conduct AIDS control programmes this year, Joint Director of National AIDS

Control Organisation (NACO), Dr A.S. Rathor has said. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil

Nadu, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram are the most affected states in

the country, said Rathor addressing a workshop on " HIV and AIDS prevention " in

Itanagar on Tuesday.
