In my own search to try to find out more about Samter's triad I found there was

this group -others like me!

It was just this summer that I found out that I am pretty much a text book (

wikipedia) case, after I went into ananphylaxis after taking a motrin--i wasn't

taking aspirin anymore since I had an asthmatic reaction to a Goody's powder so

I was staying away from aspirin but wow

the motrin about took me out.

I have had 2 sinus surgeries for nasal polyps ,just finished a round of

antibiotics for staph infection in sinuses too

Have been getting hives for the last 3 years on and off and now have developed

some sort of heartburn feels like rocks are goign down my esophagus.

I am on a nasal nebulizer steroid which seems to be keeping most of the nasal

polyps down- still have some higher up but I can breathe with mouth

closed,asthma seems to have gotten a little worse- hard for me to believe that I

have it but now I see I have to stay on the daily regimen for keeping the

wheezing down.

I have been referred to another allergist at Baylor that knows about aspirin

desentization second ENT suggested I might benefit from that.

Anyway- hello and Id love to hear from anyone that has been desentized
