Guest guest
Mine did not charge more than the standard ENT fare of $55. BTW, social security now has a webpage where you can see the average charge of most doctors in France (at least those who are affiliated - those who are not being the most expensive ones). New Age crooks would not normally be doctors, they would rather register as the local version of naturopaths - who are not really regulated - or not be registered at all. This one, for instance, is one of my "favorites" on the net ; he sells "sophrologic karate" and "american-indian astrology" (never mind that he's French and probably never met an american-indian in his life) :http://guyonnaud.free.fr/But in case you would prefer something else, or if "sophrologic karate" doesn't work because you are not receptive enough, he also proposes "hypnosis", "pilgrimages to India", "universal energy", "chitherapy", "astral travel and regression into former lives"...I wonder why these people advertise so many "brands" of deception ; maybe they sell them to the victim - I can't find any other term - one after the other by saying that "a stronger medecine needs to be tried on this tough illness", or it may simply be that they believe it makes for better advertising.> > > What brand of snake oil was he selling? > >> > >> > From: joan harvey thomyris7@...> >> > Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 21:52:37 -0600> >> > > >> > Because my septum won't heal I went to see a new-age doctor recently who told > >> > me I was very unhappy (I did feel unhappy in his presence and much happier > >> > when I left his office), that I needed lots of sessions of work with him, that > >> > I needed to fast (I'm 5'9" and weigh about 115 lbs), and to stop irrigating > >> > and stop using steroid spray. Guest guest
I have to say that I also tried alternative ways of trying to 'heal' myself from this illness, and it is very demoralising to be unable to do so - it made me feel like I wasn't spiritual enough, or wasn't trying hard enough, and that I'd brought it all on myself....very hard indeed...and can lead to one feeling a total failure. I'm sure certain positive attitudes can help, but we need to not be too hard on ourselves if we cannot cure ourselves of this condition. It's a tricky condition to deal with that's for sure. Guest guest
You're right on the point , we must not be hard on ourselves, even if all things fail despite our best efforts. > > > > > What brand of snake oil was he selling? > > >> > > >> > From: joan harvey thomyris7@ . > > >> > Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 21:52:37 -0600 > > >> > > > >> > Because my septum won't heal I went to see a new-age doctor recently who told > > >> > me I was very unhappy (I did feel unhappy in his presence and much happier > > >> > when I left his office), that I needed lots of sessions of work with him, that > > >> > I needed to fast (I'm 5'9 " and weigh about 115 lbs), and to stop irrigating > > >> > and stop using steroid spray. Guest guest
What bad press about folic acid? This is the first I have heard. Everything I always here is how critical it is, esp. in women who want to become pregnant or who are pregnant. Do you have allergies? I take a generic women’s multivitamin but I have always avoided taking additional vitamin C since it is supposed to boost your immune system and since I have severe allergies, the last thing I want to do is boost my immune system! What dose fish oil? I have considered taking that but there is no way I can make myself take the smelly things! I give both my dogs fish oil supplements and it is not special dog pills, regular people pills, and they smell pretty awful. The dogs love them! K. Over the winter I upped my vitamin intake and now take A,B execpt folic acid since reading the bad press about it, C, D and E. Also fish oil capsules. It would be easier to take 1 multivitamin but they all have folic acid!! Have to say that I feel the best I have in years. No winter BLAHS which is good and feel the best I have in years. Sticking to the low sals diet with the odd excursion into Indian food - pay the price with swollen sinuses etc but it is only rarely and as a celebration - got my green card last week!!
