Guest guest
My doctor gives me a shot of Kenelog directly into the sinuses every 3 months to keep inflammation down. This includes the turbinates. It helps tremendously. Kenelog is a steroid. The only problem with this is that I am usually ready for the next shot after 2 months and live the last month with some inflammation until I get the next shot.JaneFrom: Lloyd <mynewmanager@...>Subject: Swollen turbinate"Samters Group" <samters >Date: Thursday, October 27, 2011, 6:06 PM I was desensitized 7 months ago with moderate success. The polyps grow back more slowly, but my bigger problem is that I am now suffering from internal swelling throughout my sinus area. I know the polyps are contributing, but it is different than the polyp problem I had before desen. Any suggestions for relieving turbinate swelling? Guest guest
Back in April I had the surgery again. At that time I mentioned that my doctor recommended 's Solution.. I used it faithfully for about 4 months and though I didn't get my sos back,it did seem to help sooth things down. Because of some crazy work stuff, I sort of let the time I spent using the 's slip away and I went about 5 weeks without using it. One day when the pollen was really high in Dallas, I began to experience that old "crap my nose is more blocked than usual." After a week more, I could feel that polyps were beginning to block the airway. While waiting for my dr's appointment to roll around, I went back on the 's. Guess what? The polyps receeded !! And my nose is clear again. I usually hit the prednisone about this time of year. But using the 's every day again is not only helping me to keep the polyps at bay, but I don't have to take the prednisone. My nose runs a little, but nothing like it used to at this time of year. I'm saying that I think for some of us, using 's solution may be helpful. I've heard things about long term use causing some problems, but so far, so good. If it helps me put the surgery off 1 year, it is worth it to me.
