I am not very active with this group, but as you read through the strings, you will see a lot about aspirin desensitization. After dealing with Samters for 30 years +, going through 3 surgeries, and years of prednisone, I just completed desensitization about a week ago and would highly recommend it.

My husband was just told yesterday that he has Samter's Triad. He has suffered for years with asthma and nasal polyps. Constant sinus and ear infections. It took a cardiac episode to get him a new ENT referral after the cardiologist said he had severe sinus issues.He has been seen by so many Drs. and this one was the first one to mention it. One Dr. put him on aspirin as a preventive and never mentioned that it could make his asthma worse. He started wheezing right away and the Dr. just brushed it off. Switched Drs. So much makes sense now. He will be having his third surgery in a few weeks. I feel like I hit the lottery finding this group. Will be spending a lot of time reading the back posts. I feel like there is hope that he might finally be able to feel healthy. Anyhow thanks for having this group.

Thank you for the reply. Until 2 days ago I did not even know aspirin desensitization existed. From what I have read I think it might be a good option for my husband. Unfortunately he is not proactive when it comes to his health so I will be the one doing all the research and than telling him "Honey, this is what your going to do."
