Karl, what a fitting and typical tribute to Samters in the old year: an

interesting post, with more questions than answers.

What else is new?!

Best wishes indeed, to all, as we suffer into the new year, knowing that

despite everything, most of us are blessed to be who we are, where we are.

Subject: Sinus Buster

A couple of days ago I tried, for the first time in weeks, an old bottle

of Sinus Buster. No sting, no decongestion. I tried it on my tongue, not

even a hint of pepper sting. So, has the sting left it or has my nose

become insensitive to it? To answer this query I put one hot pepper seed in

a half cup of Ringer's solution and boiled it. After it cooled, I carefully

put a bit up my nose. I can assure you that the pepper sting was back. I

suspect that our tissues do adapt to the pepper sting AND the product

degrades after a few weeks. The following evening I tried a stronger

home-made pepper solution. While it brought tears to my eyes, it was not

accompanied by any noticeable decongestion. That said, I have been less

congested today than usual. Did the pepper treatment contribute to this, or

was it my cleaning the carpets with a miticidial solution, or was it

something entirely different?

Best wishes for 2005!

Re: Re: Sinus Buster

I have noticed the same thing with the sting. I also read either on the

Sinus Buster web site or on the instructions that that is to be expected.

One interesting thing brought up in a previous post by Karl was that

I think many of us SB users perhaps thought we developed a tolerence

to the " sting " expereinced when using this product. I know the

initial use was an experience I will not forget! However, is it the

case that the " sting " is no longer experienced by the user because

the product quickly loses its potency? Interesting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

Mike
