That's great! Keep doing what works for you.

I got my SOS back over 4 weeks ago and have been able to smell and taste each

day. The only smell I didn't miss so far is that of a skunk. Filling up the

truck with gas isn't so great either.

I'm still not sure what worked for me but I was using Hydrasense Congestion

relief (Sea Water Nasal Rinse) & Rhinocort Aqua, Vitamin D and Fish Oil daily.

My SOS seemed to come back once I began taking 250mg of Niacin daily (read up on

it and expect the " flush " ). I also cut down on sandwich meats, even though they

were the healthiest of choices. Another thing is that the temperature has

recently cooled down and it is about 72 degrees in my home where as in the

summer, it is around 75. I wonder if the lower indoor temperature has reduced

some of the swelling, because my sinuses usually swell up in hot, humid

conditions.

Again, I'm happy for you!

from time to time thru my left nostril and exhaled through mouth, several times

a week recently.)

Awesome, isn't it? Same thing happened to me! Desens end of July, 2011, and on 325 mg of aspirin x2 daily. It's the BEST.

Thank you! I should clarify, I also take other things than what I listed.D3 (4,000 iu's daily) swish cold pressed sesame oil (any organic brand works), 10 mg anti-histamine, 10 mg ranitidine. I also eat about 95% free of gluten/wheat/corn/refined sugar. (I indulged in candy over Halloween!) I eat low Sals as much as possible. I will research the Niacin info. It has also been recommended that I look into magnesium. These are things I will discuss with the doc next appt.

I forgot to mention 2 things. Along with what I already mentioned, I have also

been on a low Salicylate diet for quite some time but have never been aspirin

desensitized. I would hold up a glass of wine and make a toast to your new SOS

but then I might lose mine ;o)
